Motorized Blinds & Shades in Fresno, CA
Measured, built and installed by our own crew · quoted in person, not online
The best argument for motorized shades in Fresno isn’t the remote. It’s the schedule. Set the west windows to drop at 2 PM in July and the house stops soaking heat while you’re at work; the AC notices before you do. Add app, remote and voice control on top, group whole rooms, and never touch a wand again.
Motorized is also the honest answer for two-story foyers, windows behind furniture, and anything you currently reach with a step stool. Rechargeable motors mean no electrician for most installs; hard-wired runs are exactly what our engineering review is for.
We take the measurements and hang them ourselves. The fit is our problem, not yours.

Why Fresno homes pick motorized blinds & shades
Beat the afternoon heat
Schedules drop west-facing shades before peak sun, the cheapest AC upgrade in the house.
App, remote & voice
Works with the major smart-home ecosystems; group rooms and scenes.
Rechargeable motors
Battery motors install like a normal shade. No electrician for most windows.
Engineered, not guessed
Power routing, spans and clearances checked by our engineer before anything is built.
What motorised shades cost in Fresno
Motorised costs more per window than a manual lift, and adding a motor to a shade you are already having built costs less than starting over. The cost per window drops in a room where several windows run together, because you are adding motors rather than a whole new system each time.
The case for it in the Valley is not novelty. It is that the west side of the house should close at three o'clock whether or not anyone is home to do it, every day, all summer.
What moves the price
- ·How many windows, since the per-window cost falls across a room
- ·Battery, rechargeable or hardwired power
- ·Remote only, or app and voice control as well
- ·The base product: roller and cellular motorise most easily
How people actually use these in a Fresno house
Schedule the heat out
Set the west and south windows to close before peak afternoon sun and open again in the evening. Done every day without anyone thinking about it, this is where the money comes back.
Windows nobody can reach
Great-room glass, stairwell windows, anything above a kitchen sink or behind a bath. These are the windows that otherwise never get adjusted, which makes them the easiest ones to justify.
Rooms full of windows
One remote or one voice command for a whole wall, instead of six wands. Grouping is set up when we build the order, so it works the day it goes in.
Motorized Blinds & Shades questions, answered straight
Do motorized shades need an electrician?
Usually no. Rechargeable battery motors cover most windows and charge once or twice a year. For hard-wired or solar options, send the designer estimate request and the engineering review will spec it.
What do motorized shades cost?
A motorised lift costs more per window than a manual one, and the exact figure depends on the shade it sits in and how many windows share a room. We price it in writing after we measure. There is no online builder, and nothing is sold on this site.
Can you automate my existing tall windows?
That two-story foyer is the classic case. Request the estimate with a photo; hard-to-reach windows are where motorization pays for itself daily.
Battery or hardwired?
Battery or rechargeable is the normal choice on a retrofit: no electrician, no wall damage. Hardwired makes sense during a remodel or on a window you would rather never touch again.
How long does a battery last?
It depends on window size and how often it moves; a rechargeable wand typically goes many months between charges on a normal schedule. A shade you cycle twice a day works harder than one you move twice a week.
Does it work with Alexa or Google?
Yes, through a hub: app, remote and voice. Tell us at order time which system you use and we will set it up to pair rather than leaving you to work it out.
